How do you get a drug addict husband out of the house when he refuses to leave?

My husband is addicted to cocaine and refuses all help. He continues to use and lie about it and I want him out. We have 3 children together so I can't just up and leave because I do not have a place for us to stay. I have consulted a lawyer and he said that because it is the matrimonial home I can't legally kick him out but there has to be a way because this is not healthy for the kids. Any advice?
