Can my sinus infection have caused pink eye?

I've been very sick for a little over a week now. I went to the doctor (for the second time since getting sick) yesterday. He finds that I have a sinus infection a perscribes antibiotics. Last night when I took my contacts out I realized a had a mucous-like discharge coming from my eyes, but it was late so I just went to bed. I was up all night because of th headache from my sinus infection, so when there was goop in my eye I wiped it out. Today, my eye is swollen and watery with continuing discharge. Is this pink eye or something else?
