Does the depiction of Emma Peel and John Steed in The Avengers appeal to men and women struggling with *power*?

I never looked at it like that; Emma protects herself and her partner is all, like the right hand looking out for the left and the right knowing what the left is doing; along with, the left knowing what the right is doing; the way it should be.
