Experiencing a Jamaican Ghetto in Ocho Rios (Jamaica).?

Hi, met someone in Ocho Rios last march and I want to go back and spend three weeks with him in his place in a guetto in Pinapple St in Ocho Rios. I want to experience day to day life but I am not so sure it would be safe for me. Does anybody know this guetto and how safe would be for a white woman? thanks
