Litter bags?

I would like to start using reusable grocery bags but we use the plastic (not by choice-it's the only choice) grocery bags to clean out the litter box. What does everyone use for kitty waste? Bringing it to the main trashcan or having some other cat trashcan is not possible due to the litter box location. Any ideas?
