Do I have to file taxes if I am an undergraduate student?

My mom kicked me out 6 months ago because I wouldn't give her my financial aid and work study money. I have been living with my friends family but I provide for my self pretty much. I work, I go to school, I buy my own food, pay my own phone bill, car insurance, hygienic supplies etc. I just don't pay rent. My only income is my financial aid and work study money and I was wondering if I was suppose to file taxes so I can possible get financial aid next year? If I do will my financial aid and work study be exempt?
