How many episodes are in the anime "The Story of Sainkoku"? Purchase? Spoilers?

I had rented it from Netflix and only got to see a couple episodes. I knew there had to be more than what I'd seen. Where can I purchase this anime for fairly cheap? Does this series have a romance in it with whom does the romance transpire? <--- Spoilers welcome. I'm one of those weird people who read the pages of a book and then read the entire thing. Can you help me?
