What transition can i use in this paragraph?

The two novels to be discussed in this essay have many similarities as well as many differences. I would like to give you a brief example of a difference before continuing with my essay to give you some background knowledge. If faced with the decision to be presented with the truth, even if it hurt, or to believe a lie that would make you happy for as long as the lie continued, which would you choose? In Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick, Kevin and Max who are best friends retreat from their harsh realities in hopes of escaping them. Dissimilarly, in The Misfits by James Howe, Joe, Addie, Bobby and Skeezie are proud of who they are and instead of hiding from the people who tease them, they reach out and make an effort to help their peers to understand them so that they can all get along in peace. This is an example of one of the many differences between Freak the Mighty and The Misfits. In addition to differences between these two novels, there are also many similarities.
